Two continent simulcast

Stage and lighting designs worked together to reflect one show – and still differentiate each location.

Real time interaction between guests and hosts in each location – so camera switching, sound monitoring, etc – needed to be designed to accommodate the satellite delay

Technical, rehearsal and show schedules had to accommodate the 8 hour time difference – and work for both locations and crews. 


Shrine Expo Hall – Los Angeles (2014 and 2015)

A 54,000 square foot multi-use facility into an elegant “Golden Globes” show environment.

3- dimensional moving sets (unique design for each year) built around a 44’ LED Wall provided dramatic camera backgrounds.

3-dimensional moving set pieces provided opportunity for theatrical entrances for special guests/segments

Cathedral canopy of lights over the audience provided dramatic broadcast transitions.  (2014)


Shrine Auditorium (2013)

Three – 25’ HD LED CONTENT walls – fully automated to move vertically and/or horizontially across stage;

HD screens configured to form one ultra wide screen.

HD screens configured for dramatic speaker or car reveal.

Three – Lo-res LED walls (one-43’ and two- 12’) moving vertically on and off the stage provided “liquid architecture” to brand segments; unique camera background

40’ HD project screen flown in for major game trailer reveal.

Special guests:  Drake, Aaron Paul, Kyrie Irving; UFC Bruce Buffer.

Live 64-player game demo on stage.


Orpheum Theater (2008 – 2012)

Historic Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles

2008 and 2009-  Minimalist “Cannes Film Festival” look with a single screen and minimal scenic

2010:  40’ ultra-wide curved screen providing the back-drop to one of the industry’s first live multi-player demos.  

2010:  Live 3D demo for 

2011 and 2012 : 

embraced EAs overarching message “EA in Motion” 

design whose impact comes from a cohesive series of horizontal and/or vertical movement of screens, flats and shelves.
